Heart Song is painted using reference photos from visits to favorite lily ponds near my home in Stillwater, Minnesota. What magic exists in those ponds that creates just the right conditions for these flotillas of lacy disks to exist? — each seeming to have their own personality, no two alike—with colors reflecting the sun, and surrounded by blue sky mirrored in the the water. Can’t stop staring!
