In the Shallows

In The Shallows is representative of my favorite subject to paint— the magic that happens in reflections and shadows on and just below the surface of water. This little stream is a bit of water that exists mostly during the wet season along one of the trails where I walk. I love creating the feeling of movement of water, leaves floating, and the reflections of sky and trees.
